I hope that what you find on my website is helpful to you in your pursuit of knowledge, enlightenment, entertainment, or whatever!

Allow me to introduce myself.  I am an Instructional Designer at the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before my instructional design work, I taught political science and general education courses for 7 years at large research Universities, liberal arts colleges, and community colleges. 

When I'm not busy building courses and advising faculty, I am also an avid swimmer, a Red Cross-certified lifeguard and lifeguard instructor, and a good home cook.  I'm also a cattle farmer, part of a family enterprise that has raised registered Hereford cattle for over 50 years.
